Les Abattis
IGP Val de Loire Vendée
This cuvée is made with our oldest Pinot Noir vines. Thanks to their old and deep root system, they draw their minerality from the faults in the grey-blue schists and express the quintessence of the terroirs of the locality “La Fremière”.
The anecdote :
At the domain we are proud of these vines that are 50 to 80 years old and dig their roots deep in the soil to go and seek the best of our terroir.

Body: Deep garnet red, clear and shinyNose: Intense with hints of red fruit & ripe strawberries
Mouth: Blackcurrant, pomegranate, olives. Floral flavours with notes of jasmine and liquorice stick. Generous, complexe and full bodied.
Food & wine pairing
Hare à la royale, roast pheasant with plumb and orange, poached beetroot, roasted maturated black angus beef.
